ceeMcee started dancing as a gift to herself after a spiritual retreat to California, and since then, it has become her passion. ceeMcee has had the privilege of dancing under world-renowned dancers, historians, and teachers of North African/Middle Eastern dance: Morocco, Tarik Sultan, and Arianna Tiye. She’s been a member of their professional dance companies specializing in traditional, folkloric, and modern Raks Sharki of North Africa and the Middle East from 2001 to 2010. She has performed in various venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn, including Aaron Davis Hall, BAM Café, and Joe’s Pub. This is her seventh year jeerleading and she is proud to be a member of the Gotham Roller Derby family and a Brooklyn Bomb Squad Jeerleader.
